Responsible for promoting, supporting, overseeing, and ensuring that the faculty's policies align with the university's policies. The committee reviews the faculty's operational outcomes and budget performance, and performs other duties as assigned by the university.

Responsible for managing and operating according to the faculty's missions, developing the unit to achieve outcomes in line with the faculty’s policies, and performing other duties as assigned by the Executive Committee.

Responsible for reviewing, screening, and ensuring the quality standards of undergraduate academic work and performing other assigned duties.

Responsible for managing and developing the curriculum and instruction, including planning, quality assurance, monitoring and evaluation, and curriculum improvement.

Responsible for setting policies, developing ethical practice guidelines (Do's and Don'ts), planning and organizing activities or projects that promote ethics, morality, and anti-corruption among personnel. The committee also provides consultation and advice on promoting ethics, morality, good governance, and anti-corruption, monitors and reports on ethical performance as required by the university, and performs other assigned duties.

Responsible for setting policies, guidelines, measures, and timelines for risk management and internal control plans, ensuring alignment with the faculty’s vision, mission, and strategic plans. The committee prepares the annual risk management plan for the Faculty of Economics, assesses and prioritizes risks that may impact the achievement of strategic goals and operations, supervises, monitors, audits, and reviews control measures, and proposes improvements to the risk management process to keep pace with current changes. It also evaluates the effectiveness of internal controls based on good governance principles, promotes internal audits or self-assessments, and performs other duties related to risk management and internal control.

Responsible for setting policies, planning operations, overseeing, promoting, driving, and monitoring the organizational quality development of the Faculty of Economics to ensure continuous improvement in organizational quality.

Responsible for setting policies and directions for human resource management and development, making policy decisions regarding personnel management and development, approving policies proposed by the Human Resource Management Committee, and reviewing the results of satisfaction surveys related to personnel, work environment, health and wellness, welfare, and other benefits.

Responsible for managing the Faculty of Economics Development Fund following Chiang Mai University regulations on the establishment and management of development funds for university-affiliated units.

  1. Manage the unit's affairs in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, rules, announcements, and the university's policies and objectives.
  2. Supervise personnel under the unit, including financial matters, supplies, premises, and properties of the unit and the university, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, rules, and announcements.
  3. Propose the recruitment, appointment, and dismissal of university personnel and manage human resource affairs according to applicable laws and university regulations.
  4. Prepare and propose the unit’s development plan to the University Council, implement policies and plans, and ensure the evaluation of various operational aspects of the internal units and university personnel.
  5. Generate income and acquire other resources from various sources to support the unit's mission and achieve the objectives of both the unit and the university.
  6. Prepare the revenue and expenditure budgets for the unit with the approval of the Executive Committee, for submission to the University Council.
  7. Propose the appointment and removal of Associate Deans, Assistant Deans, Heads of Academic Offices, and Heads of Administrative Offices.
  8. Present annual reports on the unit's activities to the University Council.
  9. Perform other duties as the President and the University Council assign.

  1. Administer all faculty operations in strict accordance with applicable laws, regulations, rules, and announcements, as well as the policies and objectives of the faculty and the university.
  2. Supervise all personnel within the faculty, encompassing financial affairs, procurement, facilities, and assets of both the faculty and the university, ensuring full compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  3. Formulate operational action plans and ensure their implementation in conformity with established policies and strategic plans, including systematic performance evaluation across all internal units and personnel.
  4. Prepare revenue and expenditure budgets for the unit, subject to approval by the Faculty Executive Committee and the Faculty Administrative Committee.
  5. Submit annual reports on faculty operations to the Head of the Faculty.
  6. Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Head of the Faculty and the university.

Perform duties pertaining to international affairs, including the advancement of the faculty's internationalization agenda, development of international competencies among students and personnel, organization of international academic conferences, support of internationally recognized scholarly output, strategic coordination with external networks and partner institutions, strengthening of the faculty's institutional reputation, enhancement of overall institutional quality, and such other duties as may be assigned by the faculty.

Responsible for implementing the faculty’s policies and plans, overseeing and facilitating the evaluation of operations within internal units and faculty personnel. The Secretary manages the operations of the Faculty Office according to strategic directions, supervises, oversees, screens, and audits the performance of the office, submits operational reports concerning various aspects of the faculty to the university, and performs other duties as assigned by the Faculty and the University.

  • General Administration Unit
    Responsible for clerical and administrative tasks, meetings and ceremonial arrangements, cultural preservation activities, and coordination within and outside the Faculty of Economics.
  • Human Resource Management Unit
    Responsible for recruitment, appointment, transfer, and performance evaluation of personnel. determination and appointment of positions. promoting career advancement. supporting skill and professional development. managing personnel records and information systems. enhancing efficient human resource management. and providing morale support, welfare, and benefits for faculty personnel.

  • Finance and Accounting Unit
    Responsible for receiving and remitting funds in compliance with Chiang Mai University's Financial Management Regulations (2009). This unit disburses both budgeted and non-budgeted funds according to relevant rules and announcements, controls expenditures to align with budget plans and ensure efficiency, prepares financial reports based on the accrual accounting system (three-dimensional format) used by Chiang Mai University, generates financial information to support management decision-making, and facilitates financial-related activities to ensure accuracy, transparency, and accountability.
  • Supplies Unit
    Responsible for the procurement of goods and services (materials, equipment, construction, building renovation, service contracts, repairs, and maintenance) following the Procurement and Supplies Management Act B.E. 2560 (2017) and relevant regulations. The unit manages procurement through budget, procurement, finance, and fund accounting systems under the university's three-dimensional accrual accounting system, maintains asset registries, prepares procurement reports, conducts annual inventory inspections, and oversees the disposal of obsolete items systematically and in compliance with applicable regulations.

  • Planning and Budgeting Unit
    Responsible for preparing educational development plans, strategic plans, and annual operational plans. monitoring and reporting on operational performance. preparing budget proposals. planning budget utilization. monitoring and reporting budget expenditure. workforce planning. and preparing staffing requests.
  • Educational Quality Assurance Unit
    Responsible for preparing self-assessment reports based on the Education Criteria for Performance Excellence (EdPEx) and Thailand Quality Award (TQA) frameworks, reporting performance results according to key indicators, organizing activities related to organizational quality improvement, managing risk and internal control processes, conducting integrity and transparency assessments (ITA), and handling the preparation of operational performance certifications for the faculty.

  • Undergraduate Affairs Unit
    Responsible for managing undergraduate academic operations, overseeing teaching and learning activities for the regular, international, and dual-degree programs. Duties include curriculum management, admissions, class and examination scheduling, academic registration, grade verification, and proposing lists of graduates.
  • Graduate Affairs Unit
    Responsible for managing academic operations and organizing teaching and learning activities at the master’s and doctoral levels. Duties include curriculum management, admissions, class and examination scheduling, thesis management, academic registration, grade verification, thesis presentations, and proposing lists of graduates.
  • Student Development Unit
    Responsible for organizing student activities, managing the student union, student discipline, student development programs, scholarships, and internships.
  • Internship Unit
    Responsible for coordinating cooperative education activities for undergraduate students, promoting understanding of cooperative education standards in Thailand, preparing students for cooperative education internships, coordinating among students, academic advisors, and workplaces, building partnerships and formal agreements with enterprises, and monitoring and evaluating cooperative education activities.

  • Research Administration Unit
    Responsible for searching and managing information related to research projects and publication citations. preparing research-related documents such as project proposals, power of attorney documents, and documents for opening and closing research project accounts. tracking project documents including grant agreements, project proposals, research fund expenditure reports, progress reports, and final research reports. managing and tracking the transfer of institutional support fees to the university and the faculty. and coordinating with both internal and external agencies.
  • Academic Services and Journal Management Unit
    Responsible for providing academic services to communities, including report writing, data interpretation, lecturing, academic consulting, organizing training sessions, seminars, and academic conferences at national and international levels, developing short training courses, and establishing academic service agreements with internal and external organizations. The unit also coordinates academic service activities. In addition, the journal section manages the Chiang Mai University Faculty of Economics Journal, handles article submissions and review processes for publication, disseminates information about academic services and the journal, and performs other related duties as assigned.

A strategic unit established under the Faculty of Economics with the mandate to drive development and strengthen information technology competencies in alignment with the faculty's strategic plans. Responsibilities encompass the administration of IT systems, maintenance of IT infrastructure, computer networks, and internet services, assurance of cybersecurity, management of computers and peripheral equipment, development of databases and information systems to facilitate decision-making, provision of IT guidance and training for faculty personnel, advancement of artificial intelligence initiatives, and maintenance and servicing of audiovisual equipment for classrooms, meeting rooms, offices, and CCTV systems.

Responsible for the management and maintenance of buildings, vehicles, and physical infrastructure, encompassing architectural design, landscape development, procurement of equipment to support operations and instruction, management of utilities and environmental systems, implementation of Green Office initiatives, and oversight of occupational safety, health, and workplace environment standards.

Responsible for guest and visitor relations, establishment of international collaborations, drafting and administration of Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs), facilitation of inbound and outbound faculty and student exchanges, processing of visa matters for international students, dissemination of international scholarship information, and all other duties pertaining to the faculty's international mission and strategic partnership functions.

Responsible for internal and external public relations of the Faculty of Economics, encompassing the production of communication materials, photography and videography, video editing, design of print and digital media, and organization of visits and study tours for internal and external delegations, with the aim of cultivating positive institutional relationships and sustainable collaborative partnerships.

Produces high-quality academic and research works, with a capability to publish and disseminate research in both national and international economic journals.

Conducts research and provides academic services to communities regarding the promotion of the Sufficiency Economy. This involves studying and researching guidelines for Sufficiency Economy development in various contexts to build self-reliance, strength, and sustainability for individuals, families, and communities, as well as publishing and disseminating research works in national and international academic journals.

Conducts research in telecommunications economics and covers energy research. The center seeks research funding to continually expand operations in the telecommunications and energy sectors for the Faculty of Economics over the long term. This is aligned with research grant agreements from the Thailand Science Research and Innovation (TSRI), alongside publishing and disseminating research works in national and international academic journals.

Drives research on trade and investment within the ASEAN region, including publishing and disseminating academic and research works at both national and international levels. It provides consulting services in accordance with the center's objectives and seeks networks to expand cooperation from Chiang Mai University to the private and public sectors, as well as publishing and disseminating research works in national and international academic journals.

Formulates an overview of guidelines to promote the appropriate adoption of technology, innovation, and investment in target industries, alongside publishing and disseminating research works in national and international academic journals.

Conducts research and provides academic services to communities regarding community economic development to improve the quality of life and well-being of people in the community. It builds cooperative networks among academic institutions, the public sector, the private sector, and communities, which facilitates the exchange of knowledge and resources to solve problems and develop local economies, as well as publishing and disseminating research works in national and international academic journals.

Conducts research through the utilization of innovation for sustainable economic development, and develops guidelines for innovations that promote sustainable economic growth. It also disseminates body of knowledge and new technologies to various organizations and communities, alongside publishing and disseminating research works in national and international academic journals.

Conducts research focusing on driving studies and analyses on the sustainable utilization of natural resources. This includes promoting and developing guidelines for efficient and sustainable natural resource management, and providing consultations for formulating environmental and natural resource policies to find solutions for resource and environmental issues in current situations, alongside publishing and disseminating research works in national and international academic journals.

Conducts and supports research aimed at proposing guidelines for economic development among SMEs. It disseminates knowledge, creates intellectual capital, and identifies best practices to enhance the competitive capabilities of the SME sector, alongside publishing and disseminating research works in national and international academic journals.

Conducts research that studies, analyzes, and investigates the impacts of digital technology on the economy and society. This includes promoting the development of digital infrastructure and establishing policy frameworks to support digital economic growth, which serves as a driving force for digital economics research, alongside publishing and disseminating research works in national and international academic journals.

Conducts research on socio-economic impact assessments for various research projects, and analyzes, studies, and assesses economic feasibility and socio-economic impacts. It provides data to support decision-making regarding investments and project developments, alongside publishing and disseminating research works in national and international academic journals.

Conducts studies and analyzes supply chain operations, including factors influencing efficiency and sustainability. It proposes guidelines for improving and developing supply chain management, and offers consulting services regarding organizational policies and strategies, alongside publishing and disseminating research works in national and international academic journals.

Conducts studies, analyzes, and provides knowledge regarding financial innovation, as well as helping to create policy frameworks conducive to investment and economic growth. It promotes research and develops new mindsets in finance and investment, alongside publishing and disseminating research works in national and international academic journals.

Conducts and analyzes research on economic factors influencing human resource management and public health systems. It provides advice or guidelines for public policies related to human resource development and increasing efficiency in public health, alongside publishing and disseminating research works in national and international academic journals.

Conducts research and supports research and development in the creative economy through the creation of new innovations. It promotes the integration of creative economy and innovation into various industries, and collaborates with organizations and enterprises to drive the creative economy, alongside publishing and disseminating research works in national and international academic journals.

Conducts research and supports R&D in artificial intelligence and digital technologies for economic and business applications, while providing academic services, technology transfer, and public policy support through collaborative integration among academia, government, and the private sector.

Conducts research, develops, and transfers knowledge on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles to support the sustainable economic development of the Mekong subregion. It focuses on integrating knowledge, developing innovative tools, enhancing capabilities, and supporting policy initiatives through collaboration among academia, the public sector, and the private sector at the regional level.

To operate, coordinate, support, and provide academic and research services, as well as develop work in accordance with the Faculty’s missions, with an emphasis on promoting sustainable development and creating economic, social, and environmental value. This also includes collecting, analyzing, and preparing relevant data and reports to support policy decision-making and foster effective collaboration with internal and external organizations of the University.

To serve as the body responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting the quarterly Lanna economic situation, alongside conducting sentiment surveys to capture localized economic insights. It simultaneously develops economic knowledge, databases, and collaborative networks to enhance education, policy utilization, and long-term decision-making.
