Under the Heydar Aliyev International Education Grant Programme for the Academic Year 2026–2027

This scholarship offers opportunities to study at universities in the Republic of Azerbaijan at various levels, including: foundation programs, bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, doctoral degrees, as well as medical and residency programs.

Applications, along with supporting documents, must be submitted through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the applicant’s country of residence by April 15, 2026, at 18:00 (Baku local time).

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must be:
  • Under 35 years old for bachelor's degree and medical programs
  • Under 40 years old for master's degree and residency programs
  • Under 45 years old for doctoral programs
• Applicants holding multiple nationalities may apply using only one nationality, which must match the one used when submitting documents through the relevant authority.

Scholarship Benefits

• Full tuition fee waiver (including preparatory language courses)
• Round-trip economy class airfare (once per year)
• Monthly stipend of USD 470 (for 10 months per year)
• Annual medical insurance or healthcare allowance of USD 117
