Australia Awards Scholarship

The Australia Awards Scholarship offers talented Thai students and professionals the opportunity to pursue a Master’s degree in Australia, either by Coursework or by Research (Master’s by Research), with the aim of strengthening knowledge and capacity for sustainable national development.

Supported Fields of Study

Applicants may pursue studies in priority areas including:

  • Water Security
  • Climate Resilience
  • Combatting Transnational Crime
  • Economic Resilience and Subregional Integration
  • Gender Equality, Disability Equity and Social Inclusion

Applicant Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a Thai national and must not hold dual nationality.
  • Have resided continuously in Thailand for at least 24 months as of 30 April 2026 (excluding short-term travel abroad for work, professional development, or tourism purposes).
  • Have at least 24 months of full-time work experience (or equivalent) as of 30 April 2026.
  • Provide details of all tertiary education undertaken, both completed and incomplete, in Thailand or overseas.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree equivalent to an Australian Bachelor’s degree standard.
  • Have a valid English language test score (IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE Academic) that meets the required criteria and has not expired.

Required Application Documents

Applicants must prepare the following documents:

  • A copy of Passport or Thai National ID Card
  • Certified copies of Academic Transcripts and Degree Certificate
  • Valid English language test results
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV) outlining relevant work experience and achievements
  • Referee Reports in the prescribed format
  • For Master’s by Research applicants: an Academic Referee Report
  • For general applicants: a Relevant Work Referee Report from a supervisor
  • For Master’s by Research applicants: a Research Proposal
