Announcement of the Call for Project Proposals under ERASMUS+ 2026

The Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation hereby announces the call for project proposals under ERASMUS+ 2026, which includes the following actions:

1. Capacity Building for Higher Education (CBHE)

Supports multilateral cooperation between higher education institutions in European Union Member States (Programme Countries) and non-EU countries (Partner Countries) to modernise, enhance the quality, and increase the accessibility of higher education systems in partner countries.
Key activities include the development of new curricula, the promotion of governance and institutional management reforms, and the capacity building of staff and students to address global challenges.

2. International Credit Mobility (ICM)

Supports the mobility of students and staff between higher education institutions located in EU Member States and non-EU countries.
Key activities include student exchanges for study or short-term traineeships (2–12 months) and staff exchanges for teaching or training purposes (5 days–2 months). Partial funding is provided to promote international experience and the development of cooperative networks.

3. Erasmus Mundus Action: Joint Master and Design Measures

Erasmus Mundus Joint Master (EMJM):
Supports high-quality international joint master’s degree programmes delivered by consortia of higher education institutions from multiple countries. Participating students receive scholarships and are required to study in different countries according to the programme structure.

Erasmus Mundus Design Measures (EMDM):
Provides seed funding to higher education institutions to design and develop innovative international joint master’s degree programmes, in preparation for future applications for EMJM funding.

4. Jean Monnet Action

Promotes excellence in teaching, learning, and research on issues related to the European Union (European Union Studies) and the role of the EU on the global stage.
Key activities for higher education include:

  • Modules: Short teaching or course units
  • Chairs: Support for a specialised professorship position (3 years)
  • Centres of Excellence: Establishment of centres of expertise in European Union studies
