ECON CMU Student Union Holds Executive Committee Seminar to Strengthen Student Leadership and Strategic Activity Development

On 16 September 2026, from 5.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m., the Student Union of the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, organised its Executive Committee Seminar for Semester 1, Academic Year 2026 at the Rit Sirimat Lifelong Learning Meeting Room, Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University.

The seminar featured a special lecture entitled “Guidelines for Student Development Activities in Alignment with University Strategy and the Challenges of a Changing World”, delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Chirawath Phatsara, Vice President of Chiang Mai University.

The session provided student leaders with perspectives on designing and implementing student development activities in alignment with the University’s strategic direction, while taking into account the challenges arising from a rapidly changing global environment.

Participants also engaged in a knowledge-sharing and reflection session on the roles and responsibilities of student leaders, drawing on their experiences from previous activities. The discussion provided an opportunity to reflect on lessons learned and identify approaches for improving future student activities.

Through the seminar, student leaders strengthened their understanding of leadership, teamwork, their roles and responsibilities, and the connection between student activities and university strategy, supporting the continued development of meaningful activities for ECON CMU students.
