On Friday, 24 July 2026, from 1.00 p.m. to 4.30 p.m., the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, organised a Workshop on Developing Energy Conservation Measures and a Carbon Management Plan at Room ECB3103. The workshop aimed to strengthen participants' understanding of environmental management, energy conservation, and greenhouse gas reduction while supporting the Faculty's commitment to the Green Office initiative.
The workshop was led by Assoc. Prof. Ittichai Preechawutthipong, Deputy Director, and Mr Chaichan Ritkerkkrai, Independent Expert in Energy and Greenhouse Gas Management, with support from Ms Chanjira Techawetcharoen, Senior Engineer, Mr Thanasak Sirichan, Senior Engineer, and Mr Supphasin Taengrongthong, Researcher.
Participants worked closely with the expert team to analyse the Faculty's energy consumption and major sources of greenhouse gas emissions, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop practical energy-saving measures and carbon reduction strategies appropriate to the Faculty's operational context.
The recommendations generated during the workshop will contribute to the development and refinement of the Faculty's carbon management plan, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable environmental management, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and advancing the University's sustainability goals.
