Econ CMU organized the 1st Academic Seminar for the Academic Year 2026
On Tuesday, May 26, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University organized the 1st Academic Seminar for the Academic Year 2026 at Room ECB3308 and the Rit Sirimart Lifelong Learning Meeting Room, Chuchart Phetampai Center of Excellence in Economics Building. The event was attended by faculty members, researchers, and academic staff who gathered to exchange ideas, discuss operational directions, and enhance the quality of education management in alignment with the goals and vision of both the Faculty and the University.
On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Rossarin Osathanunkul, Ph.D., Dean presided over the opening ceremony and emphasized the importance of participatory management as a key mechanism in driving the Faculty toward its strategic goals and institutional vision.
The seminar provided an opportunity for program directors, faculty members, researchers, and support staff to engage in discussions, share knowledge, and strengthen their understanding of academic administration, curriculum development, student quality enhancement, and academic management for the 2026 academic year.
Participants also gained hands-on experience using the CMU OBE system, particularly in creating Gradebooks and Course Specifications (Course Specs), in order to strengthen the linkage between student learning outcomes and teaching and learning processes.
In addition, attendees joined a special lecture on learner-centered and Outcome-Based Education (OBE) approaches delivered by Associate Professor Dr. Praneenya Suwannatthachote, a distinguished expert in curriculum and instructional development from Chulalongkorn University. The lecture provided valuable insights and practical approaches to curriculum development aligned with contemporary educational standards.
This seminar reflects the Faculty of Economics’ strong commitment to continuously improving educational quality while promoting collaborative learning among its personnel, with the aim of advancing educational management that effectively responds to the needs of learners and society in a sustainable future.
