Faculty of Economics, CMU, Joins ITA 2026 Kickoff to Strengthen Assessment Understanding and Advance Transparent Governance

On 26 March 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., staff members of the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, participated in a live broadcast of the launch event for the Integrity and Transparency Assessment (ITA) 2026 under the theme “Kickoff ITA 2026: Insight Driven Assessment.” The event was streamed via the Facebook and YouTube channels of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) and DOPA Channel.

Participation in this event formed part of the Faculty’s ongoing efforts to enhance organizational development and strengthen understanding of the ITA assessment framework for Fiscal Year 2026. The updated assessment criteria and guidelines have been designed to support improved public-sector data governance, greater public disclosure of information, and the effective use of data in preventing and combating corruption.

The event featured keynote presentations and panel discussions by experts from various sectors, including the Digital Government Development Agency (DGA), the National Statistical Office (NSO), Hand Social Enterprise, and the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC). Participants gained valuable insights into emerging trends in ITA assessment, transparent public-sector data management, and strategies for enhancing governance, accountability, and public trust in government organizations.

Through the discussions, Faculty staff were able to learn about significant developments in the ITA framework and the evolving role of data governance in the public sector. The event also provided in-depth perspectives on the use of data to support anti-corruption efforts and the ongoing transformation of public information disclosure practices in Thailand.
