On 16 March 2026, the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Pithoon Thanabordeekij, together with faculty members and staff, warmly welcomed visiting delegates and exchange students from Kagawa University, Japan, on the occasion of their participation in the Short Visit Exchange Program.
The welcoming session was held at the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, with the aim of strengthening academic collaboration between the two institutions while providing opportunities for students to exchange knowledge and experiences in economics, culture, and international perspectives.
The program forms part of the ongoing collaboration between the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, and The Faculty of Economics and Graduate School of Science for Creative Emergence, Kagawa University. The partnership is designed to enhance students’ global competencies and promote sustainable academic cooperation between the two universities.
Activities under the program include academic lectures, discussions and exchanges with Thai students, and field visits designed to enrich participants’ learning experiences beyond the classroom. Through these activities, students gain valuable international exposure, develop cross-cultural understanding, and strengthen their academic and professional perspectives in an increasingly interconnected world.
