Macro Holiday 2026: “π (Pi) Day – Inflation Beyond the Classroom”

The Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, organized Macro Holiday 2026: “π (Pi) Day – Inflation Beyond the Classroom”, a special lecture series designed to enhance students’ understanding of macroeconomics through the lens of inflation. The event brought together experts from various sectors of the economy, including finance, business, government, and labor, to share real-world perspectives and experiences on one of the most significant economic issues affecting society today.

The program aimed to help students connect macroeconomic theories learned in the classroom with real-world economic developments, strengthen their analytical thinking skills, and deepen their understanding of how inflation affects economies, businesses, and individuals. The initiative was developed under the concept of Experiential Learning, encouraging students to learn directly from practitioners and policy stakeholders.

The lectures were held on 21–22 February 2026 at the Lifelong Learning Hall, Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, and were conducted in both Thai and English.
