Faculty of Economics, CMU Welcomes Study Visit Delegation from Thaksin University, Songkhla Campus

On Thursday, 5 February 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, led by Associate Professor Dr. Rossarin Osathanunkul, Dean of the Faculty, together with administrators, faculty members, and staff, welcomed a delegation of lecturers and students from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Thaksin University, Songkhla Campus.

The visit was organized to foster academic collaboration between the Economics Program of Thaksin University and the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University. Activities took place at Room ECB2602 and the Computer Laboratory ECB2502 of the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University.

The study visit provided a valuable platform for exchanging knowledge, experiences, and best practices in curriculum development, teaching and learning management, and academic administration. It also served as an opportunity for both institutions to explore future academic collaborations and strengthen professional networks between faculty members and students.

In addition, participants were introduced to the Faculty’s approaches to integrating technology and learning support systems into educational management. These practices contribute to enhancing educational quality and aligning academic operations with higher education quality assurance standards.

A highlight of the program was a special lecture entitled “Causal Inference for Policy Analysis,” which explored key concepts and methodologies in applied economics. The session demonstrated how causal inference techniques can be used to support public policy evaluation and evidence-based decision-making, providing participants with valuable insights into contemporary economic research and policy analysis.

The visit reflected the shared commitment of both institutions to academic excellence, innovation in teaching and learning, and the development of collaborative networks that contribute to the advancement of economics education in Thailand.
