Faculty of Economics Hosts the 5th Econ Internal Meeting

On Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, led by Assoc. Prof. Rossarin Osathanunkul, Ph.D., Dean, together with supporting staff, participated in the 5th “Econ Internal Meeting” for Supporting Staff. The meeting aimed to provide a platform for listening, exchanging ideas, and setting directions for the development of supporting staff in alignment with the Faculty’s goals and strategic plans. The meeting was held at Room ECB 3202, 2nd Floor.

The key agenda of the meeting focused on the comprehensive development of personnel capacity. Topics included the consideration of special subsidies for language proficiency, as well as financial support for English or Chinese language proficiency tests for supporting staff of the Faculty of Economics, in order to enhance language skills essential for working in an international context.

In addition, the meeting featured presentations and discussions on the OOU Navigation Hub system of the University, a tool designed to support operational work and facilitate systematic access to information. There were also deliberations on approaches to developing the Core Competency Gap of Faculty personnel, aimed at enhancing work efficiency and preparing the organization to respond effectively to future changes.

Another important agenda item was the summary of knowledge gained from participants of the training program “EdPEX for Supporting Staff: ESS, Cohort 2,” along with experience-sharing sessions by representatives from each unit. These exchanges helped disseminate experiences, ideas, and best practices that can be concretely applied to the Faculty’s work development.

The meeting reflected the strong commitment of the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, to the continuous development of supporting staff capabilities, alongside the strengthening of efficient work systems, in order to sustainably support the Faculty’s missions in education, research, and academic services.
