Faculty of Economics, CMU Welcomes Academic Delegation from Taiwan

On Friday, 14 November 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Pithoon Thanabordeekij, Associate Dean, welcomed a delegation from several leading higher education institutions in Taiwan, including National Cheng Kung University, Tainan National University of the Arts, I-Shou University, and National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University. The meeting was held at Room ECB2602, Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University.

The visit was organized to explore opportunities for academic collaboration and strengthen international partnerships between the participating institutions. Discussions focused on several key areas, including Digital Course Exchange, Digital Learning, Curriculum Development, and the potential development of joint academic programs in the future. These initiatives aim to support innovative learning approaches and enhance educational quality in response to the evolving demands of the digital era.

The event was also honored by the participation of Associate Professor Dr. Sutthida Chamras, Associate Director of the CMU School of Lifelong Education, who delivered a presentation entitled “Overview of CMU School of Lifelong Education.” Her presentation highlighted the School’s vision, mission, and capabilities in promoting lifelong learning and educational innovation, providing valuable insights for the visiting institutions.

The visit marked another significant milestone in the Faculty of Economics’ efforts to expand its international academic network and foster meaningful collaborations with global partners. Through such initiatives, the Faculty continues to advance educational innovation, promote internationalization, and contribute to the development of sustainable learning ecosystems that meet the needs of society in the digital age.
