On 5 November 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Rossarin Osathanunkul, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, received the prestigious “CMU-OIT Award 2025” on behalf of the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University. The award recognizes university departments that achieved an “Excellent (AA)” rating in the Chiang Mai University Open Data Integrity and Transparency Assessment (CMU-OIT) 2025.
The Faculty of Economics achieved a perfect score of 100 out of 100 points, demonstrating its outstanding commitment to transparency, accountability, and the effective disclosure of public information in accordance with the principles of good governance.
The award ceremony was organized by Chiang Mai University and presided over by Professor Dr. Pongrak Sribanditmongkol, President of Chiang Mai University, who presented the awards to outstanding faculties and units. The ceremony was held at the Thong Kwaw Conference Room, 2nd Floor, Academic Service Center, Chiang Mai University.
The CMU-OIT assessment serves as an important mechanism for promoting transparency, integrity, and public accountability across the University. It evaluates the quality, completeness, and accessibility of publicly disclosed information, as well as the effectiveness of governance and information management practices within each organizational unit.
Receiving the CMU-OIT Award 2025 with a perfect score reflects the Faculty of Economics’ strong dedication to transparent administration, public accountability, and continuous organizational development. The achievement also reinforces the Faculty’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of governance while fostering trust and confidence among stakeholders, students, staff, and the wider public.
