Faculty of Economics Hosts Special Lecture "ICO: Initial Coin Offering 101" to Promote Digital Economy Education

The Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University (CMU), is hosting a special lecture on "ICO: Initial Coin Offering 101." The event is part of the course curriculum for 751471: Economics of Decentralized Finance and aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles, concepts, and mechanisms of ICOs (Initial Coin Offering), or fundraising through the sale of digital tokens.

The lecture is designed to give students in-depth knowledge about the opportunities and risks of ICOs, a crucial tool in the digital economy. It also provides a valuable opportunity for students to exchange ideas and experiences with an industry expert.

The guest speaker is Mr. Wanrob Boontham, an expert in Investment Banking & Tokenization from Token X, who brings direct knowledge and experience.

The event will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM, at the Wellness Lifelong Education Hall, 1st Floor, Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University.
