Faculty of Economics, CMU, Organizes Workshop on SROI and Impact Assessment

On Tuesday, 10 September 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, held a workshop on “Introduction to Social Return on Investment (SROI) and the Preparation of Economic and Social Impact Assessment Reports” at the Lifelong Learning Room, Chuchart Petcharapai Center of Excellence in Economics, Building 3.

The workshop was led by Dr. Tossapond Kewprasopsak, Lecturer at the Faculty of Economics, who shared his expertise and practical experiences with participants. The training aimed to equip students with foundational skills in assessing economic and social impacts, while enhancing their understanding of the role of an Assessor in preparing impact assessment reports. The session also emphasized the integration of economic theories with real-world data and contexts to strengthen analytical skills and the ability to prepare systematic SROI reports.

In addition, the workshop served as an important preparatory step for selecting students to join the first cohort of the Assessor Program, which will contribute significantly to advancing impact assessment teaching and research at the Faculty of Economics.
