On Wednesday, 3 August 2025, the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, organized a study visit to the Bank of Thailand, Northern Region Office, Mueang District, Chiang Mai Province, for students in the Bachelor of Economics (Regular Program) as part of the Principles of Microeconomics course.
The visit aimed to provide students with insights into the roles and missions of the Bank of Thailand in supervising the financial system and managing the national economy, particularly in the northern region. It also offered an opportunity to understand the central bank’s operations and policy-making processes in the context of regional economic development.
Furthermore, the visit enabled students to connect theoretical knowledge from Microeconomics with real-world applications in the financial and banking sectors. This experiential learning not only deepened their understanding beyond the classroom but also allowed them to gain firsthand experience from a key national economic institution—an essential foundation for future academic growth and career development.
