Initial Firefighting, Fire Evacuation, and Earthquake Preparedness Training 2025

The Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, held a practical training program titled "Initial Firefighting, Fire Evacuation, and Earthquake Preparedness Training 2025" on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. The training took place at the Rit Sirimat Lifelong Learning Room and the faculty's parking lot. The primary objective was to enhance safety knowledge and skills for both staff and students, preparing them to effectively handle potential emergency situations.

This program saw collaboration with experts from relevant agencies who provided both theoretical knowledge and practical, simulated exercises. The training began with fundamental information on basic fire prevention and suppression, correct usage of various firefighting equipment, and safe procedures and routes for fire evacuation. Additionally, the session included instruction on appropriate actions to take during an earthquake, aiming to reduce injury risks and raise awareness about natural disasters.

Participants actively engaged in hands-on practice, including extinguishing fires with fire extinguishers, moving injured individuals, and simulating building evacuation scenarios. These practical components were crucial in helping participants understand and confidently practice the various procedures.

This training initiative is an integral part of the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University's safety and occupational health policy. It emphasizes the importance of preparing staff and students to effectively respond to emergencies and minimize potential losses from unforeseen events.
