“Muangthai DNA Develop NEW Advisor” Empowering Future Financial Planners

On Wednesday, July 23, 2025, from 08:30 to 12:00, the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, in collaboration with Muang Thai Life Assurance Public Company Limited, organized the event “Muangthai DNA: Developing New Advisors” under the theme “Answering Every Question on the Path to Becoming a Financial Planner.” Held at the “ Wellness Lifelong Education Hall.” Meeting Room, Building 1, 1st Floor, the event was also live-streamed via social media platforms. It served as a platform for students to gain practical insights into the financial planning profession and enhance their preparedness for the labor market.

This initiative aimed to deepen understanding of the cooperative education program, promote experiential learning, strengthen collaboration between academia and the business sector, and inspire students to set clear career goals while developing competencies aligned with the needs of the digital economy.

The event was honored by the presence of Assistant Professor Dr. Tatcha Sudtasan and Assistant Professor Dr. Pithoon Thanabordeekij, Associate Deans of the Faculty of Economics, who warmly welcomed all participants.

The lecture session began with the topic “Why Professional Financial Planners Matter,” delivered by Mr. Thossaporn Aremit, Senior Assistant Managing Director of Muang Thai Life Assurance. He shared valuable experiences and perspectives on the crucial role of financial planners in navigating today’s dynamic economic environment, while highlighting the importance of becoming a well-rounded and competent professional.

This was followed by a session titled “Career Path of a Financial Planner,” presented by Mr. Chuchart Changsak, a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). He shared his professional journey in a systematic manner and offered practical insights and guidance for achieving long-term success in the field.

In the final segment, students engaged in a hands-on “Financial Game” workshop, which used interactive simulations to creatively enhance financial planning skills. Additionally, the “Muangthai DNA Variety” session offered students the opportunity to explore in-depth information about participating in real-world cooperative education programs.

The Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, remains committed to fostering diverse and inclusive learning environments that enhance academic knowledge, professional skills, and academic-industry collaboration—essential foundations for students to embark on stable and sustainable career paths.
