ECON CMU Participates in Academic Network Forum Hosted by BOT

On Friday, 20 June 2025, from 14:00 to 16:30, the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, participated in the Academic Network Forum held at the Multipurpose Building of the Bank of Thailand, Northern Region Office, Chiang Mai. The forum served as a platform for the exchange of academic knowledge with meaningful implications for economic and financial policy, bringing together representatives from the Bank of Thailand, government agencies, research institutions, and academic organisations across Northern Thailand.

The Faculty of Economics was represented by Associate Professor Dr. Rossarin Osathanunkul, Dean of the Faculty, along with Associate Professor Dr. Nisit Panthamit and Assistant Professor Dr. Pairach Piboonrungroj.

A highlight of the event was the keynote lecture by Professor Justin Yifu Lin, Dean of the Institute of New Structural Economics at Peking University, titled:
“China’s Economy, Structural Changes and the New Geoeconomic Landscape.”

The forum provided a valuable opportunity to explore and exchange insights on macroeconomic trends, particularly the structural transformation of China’s economy and its broader implications for the shifting global economic order. It also strengthened academic collaboration between higher education institutions and key national economic bodies.

The Faculty’s active participation underscores its continued commitment to advancing economic knowledge, fostering global engagement, and contributing to research, teaching, and policy dialogue at both regional and international levels.
