On June 10, 2025, the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, led by Associate Professor Dr. Rossarin Osathanunkul, Dean, along with Assistant Professor Dr. Tatcha Sudtasan, Associate Dean, and Associate Professor Dr. Komsan Suriya, Head of the Telecommunications and Energy Economics Research Center, participated in a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signing ceremony for academic collaboration between Chiang Mai University and the Office of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC). The partnership aims to promote knowledge exchange, research, and development in economics, particularly within the context of telecommunications — a vital mechanism for driving national economic growth.
On this occasion, Associate Professor Prasert Rerkkriangkrai, Vice President of Chiang Mai University, represented the university in signing the MoU. He emphasized the importance of cooperation between universities and national regulatory bodies in enhancing the quality of research and public policy.
The academic seminar also featured a special lecture by Ms. Ramida Leelapota, Director of the Strategy and Budget Office and Acting Assistant Secretary-General of NBTC in the Academic Affairs Division. Her presentation, titled “Opportunities in Academic Collaboration with Chiang Mai University,” highlighted strategic pathways for advancing cooperation between the two institutions.
