On December 24, 2024, the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nisit Panthamit, Head of the ASEAN Economic Research Center and Head of the ASEAN Studies Center, welcomed Mr. Lyu Sheng, Commercial Consul from the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Chiang Mai, at the reception room on the 4th floor of the Chuchart Petchlumpai Building, Center of Excellence in Economics.
The meeting aimed to discuss potential collaboration between Chiang Mai University and the People’s Republic of China. The discussion covered topics such as promoting research on ASEAN economies, enhancing education, and developing projects related to international economic connectivity, as well as opportunities for organizing activities to foster mutual understanding in economic and cultural dimensions.
This collaboration underscores the Faculty of Economics’ commitment to developing international networks and supporting Chiang Mai University’s role as a hub for education and research in the ASEAN region.
The Faculty hopes that this discussion will pave the way for mutually beneficial projects in the future, contributing to advancements in both economic and educational sectors.
