On Wednesday, September 4, 2024, the Faculty of Economics at Chiang Mai University hosted a special lecture and workshop titled “Basic Coding for Econ Students: Python.” We were privileged to have Dr. Kittikun Jitpairod, a professor from the Department of Civil Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, share his expertise in using Python for applications in economics.
The event, held in the ECB2501 computer lab, aimed to improve programming skills among students in both the international and regular programs. The workshop not only introduced the basics of programming but also demonstrated how students can apply these skills to solve real-world economic problems.
This initiative is a key step in preparing our students for the evolving demands of the professional world. It also promotes the development of programming skills, which becomes increasingly important in economics and related fields.
