The purpose of this research is to evaluate the sustainability of tourism in Lampang province by assessing in economic, socio-cultural, and environmental aspects. The approach towards the study is the integration of quantity and quality. In economic aspect, the evaluation would be based on the perspectives of 400 Thai tourists travelling to Lampang. In socio-cultural and environmental aspects, the evaluation would be based on the perspectives of 12 local stakeholders. The result of economic assessment has shown 12 factors affecting the sustainability of tourism in Lampang, which include: average monthly income, hometown, travel companion, average spending for trips in Lampang, number of visits to Lampang, variety of tourist attractions, accommodation, cuisine, appropriate cost of living, crimeless security, local hospitality, and effective advertisement and public relations. The result of socio-cultural assessment has shown 5 factors affecting the sustainability of tourism in Lampang, which include: preservation of cultural architectures, preservation and inheritance of cultures and customs, harmonized cooperation in local community, regulations related to tourists’ behaviors, and local awareness for substances, contagious diseases, crimes, and conflicts with tourists. The result of environmental assessment has shown 2 factors affecting the sustainability of tourism in Lampang, which include: environmental awareness of locals and tourists, and tourists’ participation in environmental-conservation activities.
