This study aimed to evaluate service usage behavior and electronic financial system information perception among different generation consumers in Chiang Mai province. Also, factors effect to electronic financial system service usage in each generation consumers living in Chiang Mai province were studied. A survey research was used to examine the samples of 400 people living in Chiang Mai province exclude foreigner. 3 type of generations: 1)Baby boomer s 2)Generation X 3)Generation Y were studied. The questionnaire was used as data collected tool and data was analyzed by descriptive statistic analysis and inferential statistics analysis.
Study results showed that baby boomer, consumer goods, water bill and mobile top up were paid by cash. Electric bill was paid via internet. Electronic money system information were perceived by television since it’s easy to access and convenient. They are most interested in product factor and distribution factor. Generation x, consumer goods and water bill were paid by cash. Electric bill was paid via internet. Mobile top up was made via application. Information perception was perceived by bank branch since it’s easy to access and convenient. They are most interested in product, price, distribution and process factors. While generation y, water bill was paid by cash. Online goods, mutual fund and mobile top up were made via application. Information perception was perceived by Internet since it’s easy to access and convenient. They are most interested in product, price, distribution, process and physical factors. Comparison of average among people sample in difference generations in Chiangmai province showed that consumers in different generation effects to their cash on hand, frequency of consumer goods payment, water bill payment, online goods purchasing, mutual fund purchasing, mobile top up payment, frequency of e- wallet top up, insurance payment, consumer goods value payment, electric bill, water bill, online goods purchasing, mutual fund purchasing, mobile top up, life insurance and insurance payment and electronic money information perception source.
