This research aims to study economic condition and social status of migrant worker, Burmese people, in Mae-sai district, Chiang Rai, and also to study their work life quality from the sampling of 300 Burmese migrants in Mae-sai district, Chiang Rai. The tools that are used in this study are the questionnaire of economic condition and social status, and the questionnaire of work life quality from samplers’ work life quality. The gathered data is, then, analyzed by descriptive statistical tools. As a result, this paper found thatmost of Burmese migrants, in Mae-sai, Chiang Rai, mainly work in construction industry and not all of them work an additional job. In average, most of them earn 8,400 Baht from the salary of their main job and spend for approximately 4,500 Baht on meals. 3,000 Baht is monthly transferred back to their country and around 1,000 Baht is saved. The most ways they save their money is to keep it with themselves. In addition, almost all of them are debt-free, only a few Burmese migrant workers who are in debt, but those debts are mostly caused by their consumption. Furthermore, in terms of work life quality, this paper found Burmese migrant workers in Mae-sai, Chiang Rai, hold intermediate level considered from their opinions. Anyway, when consider 8 factors of work life quality, 2 factors are scored highly which are regulation in organization and work life balance. On the other hand, the intermediate scores appear in the other 5 factors which are social relationship, environment, safety and health ,fair salary ,consistency and growth potential in career path ,and development opportunity.
