This study aims to study in the internal factors and external factors that influence to demand for graduate studies. This study is a survey research by selecting from students who are studying in bachelor’s student and graduate student who live in Chiang Mai Province. The number of 400 samples use to collect data query. The analysis of the data that use questionnaires and descriptive statistics such as: mean, frequency, percentage and standard deviation by Chi-Square Test.
The results of the study show that the most of the samples is female. Their age is between 26 -35 years old and single. Their highest degree is undergraduate which graduated from the major in humanities and social sciences. The Most of them also graduated in Chiang Mai Province and earned the Grade Point Average at higher than 3.00. Their monthly average income is range between 0-20,000 Baht. Their hometown was located in the northern region. Currently, they work as an employee/officer in the position of Operating Staff. They want to education in Master’s degree at a state educational institute in the country.
Factors affecting the needs for further study are: economic factors, educational fees and funding sources, career path progression, and factors influenced from others. Further, the factors that do not affect the demand for further education is the quality of the institution factors, and environmental factors.
