การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อปัจจัยที่มีอิทธิพลต่อการตัดสินใจเลือกเช่าลักษณะที่พักของนักศึกษาระดับอุดมศึกษา ในเขตอาเภอสันทราย จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ และศึกษาความพึงพอใจของนักศึกษาระดับอุดมศึกษาในการใช้บริการหอพักเอกชน โดยข้อมูลที่ใช้ในการศึกษาเป็นข้อมูลปฐมภูมิที่เก็บจากแบบสอบถาม จากกลุ่มตัวอย่างนักศึกษาระดับอุดมศึกษา ในเขตอาเภอสันทราย จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ ทั้งชายและหญิง จานวน 400 คน การวิเคราะห์ใช้สถิติเชิงพรรณนา (Descriptive Statistics) แบบจาลองโลจิท (Logit Model) และแนวคิดลิเคิร์ท (Likert Scale)
ผลการศึกษาข้อมูลทั่วไปของกลุ่มตัวอย่างพบว่า กลุ่มตัวอย่างส่วนใหญ่เป็นเพศหญิง ส่วนใหญ่อายุ 20 ปี ชั้นปีการศึกษาส่วนใหญ่จะศึกษาอยู่ในชั้นปีที่ 2 โดยนักศึกษาส่วนใหญ่มีภูมิลาเนาเดิมอยู่ต่างจังหวัด รายได้ทั้งหมดต่อเดือน (รวมค่าเช่าหอพักเอกชน) ส่วนใหญ่อยู่ในช่วง ต่ากว่า 6,000 บาท ค่าใช่จ่ายต่อเดือน (ไม่รวมค่าเช่าหอพักเอกชน) ส่วนใหญ่จะอยู่ในช่วง ต่ากว่า 6,000 บาท และ ยานพาหนะที่ใช้ในการเดินทาง ส่วนใหญ่จะเดินทางโดยจักรยานยนต์ส่วนตัว
การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับปัจจัยที่มีอิทธิพลต่อการตัดสินใจเลือกเช่าลักษณะที่พักของนักศึกษาโดยศึกษาแบบจาลองโลจิท(Logit Model) ได้ผลการศึกษาดังนี้ ปัจจัยที่มีอิทธิพลต่อการตัดสินใจเลือกเช่าลักษณะที่พักของนักศึกษา คือ ระยะทางจากที่พักถึงมหาวิทยาลัย (Dist) ค่าเช่า (Price) และค่าใช้จ่ายต่างๆ ภายในที่พัก (Expfordorm)
การวิเคราะห์ความพึงพอใจของนักศึกษาในการใช้บริการหอพักเอกชน พบว่านักศึกษามีความพึงพอใจมากที่สุด 3 อันดับแรกคือ คือ ระยะทางระหว่างที่พักกับมหาวิทยาลัย ความสะอาดของหอพัก และสภาพแวดล้อมรอบๆหอพักเอกชน

This study was aimed for the factors influencing the decision to choose accommodation of university students in Sansai District of Chiang Mai Province along with their satisfaction toward services rendered by a private dormitory. Data used in this study were the primary data collected through the questionnaires distributed to a total of 400 samples of both male and female university students in Sansai District of Chiang Mai Province. The analyses were undertaken by descriptive statistics, logit model, and Likert scale.2
According to the study on the general data of those samples, most of them were female students with 20 years of age and of the second year. The majority of them were from upcountry. The total monthly incomes (including the rent for private dormitories) were mostly below the range of 6,000 Thai Baht per month while the monthly expenses (excluding the rent for private dormitories) were below the range of 6,000 Thai Baht. The major transport vehicle was a personal motorcycle.
Based on the data analysis of the factors influencing the decision to choose the type of accommodation among students through a logit model were described as a distance from the dormitory to university (Dist), rent (Price), and expense for dormitories (Expfordorm).
The satisfaction analysis of students in choosing the private dormitories found that three most listed items were a distance from the dormitory to university, cleanness of the dormitory, and surrounding environment of the private dormitory.
