บทคัดย่อ (THAI):

การศึกษานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาต้นทุนทางการศึกษาและความพึงพอใจของนักศึกษาต่อการเรียนการสอนของคณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์หลักสูตร 4 ปี มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลล้านนา เชียงราย โดยทำการสอบถามนักศึกษาคณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ที่เรียนในปีการศึกษา 2558 ทั้งหมด 368 คน ซึ่งประกอบด้วย นักศึกษาสาขาวิชาวิศวกรรมไฟฟ้า 139 คน สาขาวิชาวิศวกรรมโยธา 139 คน และสาขาวิชาวิศวกรรม
อุตสาหการ 90 คน การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลใช้สถิติเชิงพรรณา ส่วนการวัดระดับความพึงพอใจของนักศึกษาใช้มาตรวัดแบบลิเคิร์ทสเกล
ผลการศึกษาพบว่า นักศึกษาคณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ทั้ง 3 สาขาส่วนใหญ่เป็นเพศชาย
อายุเฉลี่ย 22 ปี มีภูมิลำเนาอยู่ในจังหวัดเชียงราย และแพร่ จบการศึกษาประกาศนียบัตรวิชาชีพ(ปวช.) ได้รับรายได้จากบิดามารดาเฉลี่ย คนละ 4,752 บาท/เดือน นักศึกษาส่วนใหญ่พักอาศัยหอพัก และใช้รถจักรยานยนต์เดินทางมาศึกษา
นักศึกษาสาขาวิชาวิศวกรรมไฟฟ้ามีต้นทุนทางการศึกษาตลอดหลักสูตร(4 ปี) เฉลี่ยคนละ 248,077 บาท โดยเป็นต้นทุนส่วนบุคคลสูงที่สุดถึงคนละ 107,664 บาท รองลงมาคือค่าใช้จ่ายในการศึกษา และอื่นๆ คนละ 96,781 บาท และต้นทุนค่าเสียโอกาสของเวลาคนละ 43,632 บาท
นักศึกษาสาขาวิชาวิศวกรรมโยธามีต้นทุนทางการศึกษาตลอดหลักสูตร(4 ปี) เฉลี่ยคนละ 248,406 บาท โดยเป็นต้นทุนส่วนบุคคลสูงที่สุดถึงคนละ 109,092 บาท รองลงมาคือค่าใช้จ่ายในการศึกษา และอื่นๆ คนละ 95,682 บาท และต้นทุนค่าเสียโอกาสของเวลาคนละ 43,632 บาท
นักศึกษาสาขาวิชาวิศวกรรมอุตสาหการมีต้นทุนทางการศึกษาตลอดหลักสูตร(4 ปี) เฉลี่ยคนละ 237,425 บาท โดยเป็นต้นทุนส่วนบุคคลสูงที่สุดถึงคนละ 97,444 บาท รองลงมาคือค่าใช้จ่ายในการศึกษาและอื่นๆ คนละ 96,349 บาท และต้นทุนค่าเสียโอกาสของเวลาคนละ 43,632 บาท
นักศึกษาทั้ง 3 สาขามีความพึงพอใจต่อการเรียนการสอนของคณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ในภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก โดยนักศึกษาสาขาวิชาวิศวกรรมไฟฟ้าและวิศวกรรมโยธามีความพึงพอใจด้านผู้สอนเป็นอันดับที่ 1 ซึ่งได้แก่ ผู้สอนมีวิธีส่งเสริมความคิดให้แก่นักศึกษา และผู้สอนมีความรู้ความเชี่ยวชาญในเนื้อหาวิชาที่สอน นักศึกษามีความพึงพอใจด้านหลักสูตรเป็นอันดับ 2 ได้แก่ การวัดผลสอดคล้องกับเนื้อหาในการเรียนการสอน หลักสูตรมีความทันสมัยและเป็นที่ยอมรับ ส่วนนักศึกษาสาขาวิชาวิศวกรรมอุตสาหการ มีความพึงพอใจด้านหลักสูตรเป็นอันดับที่ 1 ซึ่งได้แก่ เนื้อหาวิชาที่สอนสอดคล้องกับความต้องการของตลาดแรงงาน และหลักสูตรมีการปรับปรุงอย่างต่อเนื่อง อันดับที่ 2 ได้แก่ ผู้สอนมีความรู้ความเชี่ยวชาญในเนื้อหาวิชาที่สอน และผู้สอนมีวิธีการส่งเสริมกระบวนการคิดให้แก่นักศึกษา

Abstract:

This study aims to examine the cost of education and satisfaction with educational program of students enrolled in 4-year bachelor’s degree program in the Faculty of Engineering, Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna, ChiangRai campus. The needed information was collected from altogether 368 engineering students who enrolled for classes in 2015 academic year. Specifically, the students comprised 139 of those studying in electrical engineering, 139 in civil engineering, and 90 in industrial engineering. The analysis was based on the results of descriptive statistics, and Likert’s scale rating of students’ satisfaction with the educational program.
According to personal background information, the study found that the majority of engineering students in all three fields of specialization are characterized as male, 22 years old on the average, having Chiang Rai or Phrae Province as registered domicile, already holding High Vocational Certificate, receiving averagely 4,752 baht monthly allowance from parents, living in dormitory, and using motorcycle for commuting to campus.
Students majoring in electrical engineering were found to have the total cost of education for the entire bachelor’s degree program (four years) equal to 248,077 baht per person on the average which is mostly for personal expenses at 107,664 baht per person, followed by tuition and fees and other educational expenses at 96,781 baht per person, and opportunity cost at 43,632 baht per person.
Those who majored in civil engineering had the total cost for their four years’ educational program at 248,406 baht per person on the average. Their personal expenses accounted for the largest portion of the cost which is 109,092 baht per person on the average. The second largest cost is for tuition and fees and other educational expenses at 95,682 baht per person. Their opportunity cost was 43,632 baht per person.
Those majoring in industrial engineering had the total cost for their four years of education at 237,425 baht per person on the average which can be further distinguished into 97,444 baht for personal expenses, 96,349 baht for tuition and fees and other educational expenses, and also 43,632 baht for opportunity cost.
Students in all three fields of specialization rated their satisfaction at high level with the overall education program offered by the Faculty of Engineering. Those who majored in electrical engineering and civil engineering similarly expressed their most satisfaction with the educational program in terms of instructors for having techniques to encourage students to think creatively as well as having knowledge and skills pertinent to the course contents. Their next most satisfaction is with the evaluation of students’ performance which is made in relation to the course contents and with the curriculum design which is modern and well acceptable. Meanwhile, the students who majored in industrial engineering revealed their most satisfaction with the educational program in terms of the course contents which are in line with the demand in the job market, and the continuing revision of curriculum to keep pace with external changes. Their second most satisfaction is with the instructors for having knowledge and skills pertinent to the course contents as well as having methods to enhance students’ thinking process.
