Abstract:

The purpose of this study was to investigate factors influencing decision making in the Agriculture Project for Lunch under Royal Patronage of the school under the jurisdiction of the Office of Chiang Mai Education Service Area 1 – 6. The data collected by using the questionnaire from 270 samples from 2 group of school, the school were joined the program and not joined the program.
The results of the study presented that the incremental cost such as explicit cost and opportunity cost of schools under the Office of Chiang Mai Educational Service Area Office 1 – 6 participated in the Royal School Lunch Program. The explicit cost of school was the supported budget 100,000 Bath. Schools can choose from a variety of activities according to the availability of the school. The opportunity cost including time and return on project implementation that cannot be measured in the form of money.
According to studies, it has been found the benefit from the success of the project such as the number of students over 80% had a standard weight. Students gain knowledge, skills in sustainable agriculture and professional knowledge needed to live. The incremental benefit cannot be measured in the form of money as well.
The results from the investigate factors influencing decision making in the Agriculture Project for Lunch under Royal Patronage of the school under the jurisdiction of the Office of Chiang Mai Education Service Area 1 – 6 was using Logistic Regression and showed that the samples were emphasized on 5 key factors which consisted of (1) having a kitchen in school (2) having a plant nursery in school (3) having an animal shelter in school (4) the opinions on the budget of the lunch program 20 baht per day (5) Additional financing sources. The factors were related in the same direction such as having a plant nursery, having an animal shelter and additional financing. The factors were not related in the same direction such as having a kitchen in school and the opinions on the budget of the lunch program 20 baht per day.
