Abstract:

This study aims 1) to study the factors affecting the performance of employees of Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited in Mueang District, Chiang Mai Province, and 2) to study the problems and obstacles during the performance.The data used in this study are collected from the questionnaires and population who are 282 employees of 28 branches of Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited in Mueang District, Chiang Mai Province. The data is analyzed using Descriptive Statistics to clarify Frequencies, Percentages, Means and to analyze personal factors; i.e. sex, ages, working period, marital status, educational level, career position, and monthly income. Also, Likert Scale measurement technique is used for performance factor, economic factor, and welfare factor as well. The meaning of average points of each factor is also interpreted after that. Chi-Square Test is utilized to analyze the correlations between personal factor and significance levels of factors affecting the performance of employees.Finally, problems and obstacles are analyzed using Ordinal Scales.As the study result of the factors affecting the performance, it is found that upon the 3 factors; i.e. performance factor, economic factor, and welfare factor, the 3 fields which consist of the highest significance are the security of work, wages from the work, and pension/bonus.As the study result of problems and obstacles against the performance, it is found that the samples have the following problems and obstacles; assignment, boss/chief, and duration of performance from colleagues, working environment, and from the employee's physical health respectively.
